What They Do

eCom Triage is an Amazon services company founded by Danan Coleman. It runs three lines of work: negative review removal on a pay for performance model, Catalog Defender, a catalog monitoring product co-founded by Coleman and Marc Pfeiffer, and coaching and consulting for brands, agencies and software companies in the Amazon space.

In eCom Triage’s own words: “We identify non-compliant reviews on your product listings and work directly with Amazon to get them removed on a pay-for-performance model. So you only pay if we get you results.”

How Review Removal Works

01

Scan and classify

Every written negative review on your listings is pulled and classified line by line against Amazon’s Community Guidelines.

02

File on real violations only

Removal cases are filed only on reviews that genuinely break Amazon’s rules. eCom Triage states it never files on compliant reviews, because doing so risks the account.

03

Escalate where it counts

Stalled cases move up an escalation ladder through Amazon’s channels until they get a real answer, not just an acknowledgement.

04

Track and report weekly

A weekly report covers what was filed, what came down and what is being escalated next. You are billed only for reviews that actually come down.

What qualifies, per eCom Triage’s published list, is anything that violates Amazon’s Community Guidelines. Honest negative reviews about the product itself stay up.

Profanity or hate speechOff-topic contentFeedback about shipping or customer service instead of the productReviews from people who never bought or used the productPromotional or manipulated contentPrivacy violations

The Honest Numbers

eCom Triage is unusually direct about the ceiling. Its own page says anyone promising to remove every bad review is not being straight with you, because Amazon only removes reviews that violate its guidelines. The published numbers: 5 to 10% of negative written reviews qualify on average, 15 to 20% in some categories, first removals typically land within 30 days, and every review being worked gets weekly tracking.

Access is limited too. eCom Triage states it never asks for your login and that, at most, clients grant limited permissions to file support cases and read product reviews. Buyer personal information, order data and financial reports stay off limits.

Catalog Defender

Catalog Defender monitors every ASIN on a schedule across the marketplaces you sell in, running 28 checks per listing. The checks it leads with are the quiet, expensive ones: split reviews (a variation family stops sharing reviews and a product with 4,000 reviews starts showing 12), orphaned variations, lost reviews, hijacked content, unauthorized sellers and copycat listings. Each detection lands in a Resolution Center ranked by revenue impact, with a ready to send Seller Support case built from the listing’s own data, and alerts can route to Slack or email.

Catalog Defender does not act on your Seller Central account. It hands you the case; you or your agency send it. It publishes that it watches 28 brands and lists these on its homepage:

Who Runs It

Danan Coleman is CEO and founder. In his own words he has been in ecommerce for over 15 years, launched and scaled three brands on Amazon US from zero by partnering with the manufacturers, co-founded Catalog Defender, founded ecom.events, hosts The eCom Growth Show, and helped scale three SaaS brands in the Amazon space to millions in revenue. The executive team page also lists Auguste Napier (PPC) and Marc Pfeiffer (Catalog Defender co-founder).

On why the pricing works the way it does, from the pricing page: “If a service is confident it can actually get non-compliant reviews removed, it should be comfortable getting paid only when that happens.”

Published Results

eCom Triage publishes three case studies. It keeps the brands anonymous and says every figure is from actual engagements. We reproduce its numbers as published and have not verified them independently.

578
negative reviews removed for a supplements brand doing seven figures a year on Amazon, over an ongoing engagement
161
negative reviews removed across the portfolio of a multi-brand food, beverage and electronics seller
4.2 to 4.4
star rating for a brand stuck under Amazon’s rating threshold, with visibility and conversion both moving

Why We Included Them

Most brands treat their review section like weather. A written one star review sitting at the top of the reviews costs conversion on every session the brand is already paying for, and Amazon’s own guidelines mean a share of those reviews should never have been there. Two things put eCom Triage in this directory. First, the pricing model: the provider only gets paid when a review comes down, which is the same aligned incentive logic we run our own business on. Second, the candor: it publishes the qualification ceiling instead of implying every bad review can go.

Inclusion in this directory is editorial and does not imply a client relationship between Eleviam and eCom Triage. Review removal has to stay inside Amazon’s Community Guidelines. The only reviews worth filing on are the ones that actually violate them.

Best For

  • Established listings with hundreds of written negative reviews, where a 5 to 10% qualification rate still means real removals
  • Supplements, beauty and other categories with rough review environments
  • Multi-brand operators who want review triage as a standard onboarding step
  • Catalogs of 500+ ASINs where manual checks for split reviews and orphaned variations are not realistic
  • Brands that will not hand over a Seller Central login to a vendor
